Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 4, 2026
1. What data we collect
Account data (the email you register with). Uploaded content (photos of colored drawings, photos you turn into coloring pages or stylized pictures, photos you put into a printable book, images you place on merch). Generated content (coloring pages, videos, stylized images, PDF books, print files). Order data when you buy merch (name, shipping address, email — needed to ship the parcel). Technical data required for the service to operate. We do not store your IP address or browser user-agent in our analytics.
2. How we use the data
Email — for sign-in, service notifications (including the reminder about video deletion) and important messages. Uploaded photos — solely to generate your video. Generated videos — stored in your personal account for download.
3. Retention periods
Source photos are deleted automatically as soon as they are no longer needed:
- Video: within 60 minutes after the video is ready.
- Photo → coloring page and photo stylization: within 24 hours. We keep the photo for that short window only so you can try another style from the same photo without uploading it again; after that it is deleted and the option disappears.
- Photos placed in a printable book: within about 60 minutes after the PDF is built (the picture is already inside the PDF); at most 24 hours if a job fails or gets stuck.
Results: finished videos are stored for 90 days and then deleted (a reminder email is sent 1 day before); stylized images for 90 days; coloring pages and PDF books stay in your account until you delete them or delete your account. Merch order records are kept for accounting and then anonymized (90 days after delivery, or 180 days if the parcel never got a delivery status). Analytics events are deleted after 12 months.
4. Privacy by default
By default, all of your content is private. We do not publish or use your photos or videos publicly. Public use (for example, in a gallery of examples) is possible only with your explicit consent. For content created by a child, consent is given by the parent or legal guardian.
5. Children
Our coloring pages, books and videos are made for children, but the account is created and managed by an adult (18+). A child does not get their own account and cannot register.
This means a child's material — a photo of their drawing, a photo used for a coloring page or a book, the child's first name if you type it into a story — is processed on the parent's instruction, inside the parent's account, only to produce the thing that was asked for. The parent decides what to upload and is responsible for it. We ask for a child's age group only to choose the right story style and reading level; we do not ask for a birth date, and we do not need one.
A child's data is never used for advertising, profiling, ad targeting or to train AI models, and it is never sold or shared with data brokers. A parent can delete everything at any time (see "Deleting your account"). If you believe a child's data reached us in a way you did not intend, write to us and we will delete it.
6. Third parties
To make the service work we send some data to other companies. Here is exactly what goes where:
- Google (Gemini API) — receives the photo you upload when we turn it into a coloring page, stylize it, or write a story about a drawing, plus the text prompt. It is sent for processing only, over an encrypted connection, and is not stored on our behalf. We use the paid API tier, where Google does not use the content to train or improve its models.
- fal.ai — receives the photo (through a temporary link that expires in 1 hour) when you create an animated video or a 3D model, and returns the result. Same rule: processing only, paid tier, not used for model training.
- Printful — receives your name, shipping address, email and the print file when you order merch, because it prints and ships the parcel.
- Payment providers (LemonSqueezy, Gumroad) — handle the payment. They receive your email and payment details; we never see or store your card number.
- Hosting, database and email delivery providers — store your account and content and send our service emails.
Nothing is sent to advertising networks. We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for advertising. What we send to AI providers is technical and short-lived: the photo goes in, the result comes back, and the copy on our side follows the retention periods in section 3.
7. YouTube API Services
PaperWorld3D uses YouTube API Services solely to publish our own promotional videos to our own official YouTube channel. By using our Service you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google Privacy Policy. We do not access, collect, store or share any YouTube user data of our visitors; the integration has no access to visitor accounts or data.
8. Analytics and cookies
We run our own anonymous analytics. There are no third-party trackers, ad pixels or advertising cookies on this site — no Google Analytics, no Meta or TikTok pixels.
We set two first-party cookies: a random identifier that lets us count visits without knowing who you are, and a cookie that records how you arrived (campaign tags from the link you clicked, the website domain that referred you, and the first page you opened). The referral cookie lasts 30 days; the counting cookie lasts 180 days. We never store your IP address or your browser's user-agent string in our analytics.
The events we record are limited to a short list of product actions: opening key pages, opening a coloring page, downloading a PDF, clicking the Premium button, starting a trial, starting a photo upload, and clicking to order a T-shirt. We use this only to understand which pages work and where people get stuck. We do not sell or share this data, and we do not use it for advertising profiling. Analytics events are deleted after 12 months. If you create an account, the "how you arrived" values are copied once to your account record so we can tell which channel it came from.
9. Your rights
You may request access to your data, its correction or its deletion by writing to us. You can also delete your account yourself, immediately — see below.
Deleting your account
Open your account page (My Sparks) and use "Delete my account" at the bottom. You will be asked to type DELETE to confirm, because this cannot be undone.
Deletion happens immediately, not "within 30 days": we erase your login, profile, uploaded photos, coloring pages, videos, stylized images, 3D models, PDF books, favorites, Sparks balance and history, error records and analytics events. The only thing we keep is past merch orders and payment records, and those are anonymized first — name, address and email are wiped, so only the amount, product and date remain. We must keep those for tax and accounting purposes. Backups roll over within 30 days.
